The republic of Fiji is located south western pacific about 1100 Miles north of New Zealand.
It became a British colony in 1874, switching their currency from Dollar to Pound (20 Shillings per Pound, 12 Pence per Shilling) until it gained it's independence in 1970 and going back to the dollar standard (100 Cent per Dollar).
it's no longer a part of the British commonwealth as of Sep. 2009.
this note was issued in 1942 and in crisp mint shape with no problems what so ever.
